Probably areas between Chalon and Macon, that has been recommended. No guides, do our own thing. Three of us going, Mark Satchwell, Brian Springthorpe and myself.

I haven't tried feeding but they don't need it. Just keep em cold, 2 degrees centigrade and they will last a year without food.

Unfortunately Eric I won't have any new leeches at that time, it will be August when I get some more so look after what you've got and save em.

It can be both if everybody agrees. Whoever 'wins' were not going to fall out over it. Don't put yer money on me Trev, put it on Eric, I will have just done a week on the Saone so may be too knackered to fish at all at Millin, lol

Hi Dale, welcome to the site. Erm, 60lb carp? A 60lb carp isn't in the same league as a 60lb cat, or even a 40lb cat I think you've got a shock coming.

Ok guys we've almost hit the target for the lower price, just need orders for 3 metres of 2mm and 1 metre of 2.5mm
Re: Silicone rubber
November 10, 2009 by maurice-johnson
Come on you guys that haven't ordered, I'm sure you could use some! We're getting close to the next price bracket which would make it even cheaper, £1.35 and £1.40 per metre. This is a one-off and won't be repeated.

Hi Dave,
About 25 metres in total. If you take 4 and I would keep 4, that's 8 metres already so it wouldn't take many peeps to make the quantity. I'm pissed off with the rubbish that tackle shops sell, it's usually thin wall (.5mm) poor quality and you pay through the nose for it.
Re: Silicone rubber

if you spent as much time on your fishing as you do worying about tackle you could become a half decent angler Maurice lol

Silicone rubber
November 8, 2009 by maurice-johnson
Hi Guys,
I've found a source of cheap silicone rubber tubing but it depends on buying sufficient quantity. This is top grade stuff with 1mm wall thickness in two sizes, 2mm and 2.5mm inside diameters. Prices would be £1.50 and £1.55 per metre repectively if I order enough. I don't have to order miles of it to get those prices but more than I wan't to keep for myself. Those prices are a fraction of the rip-off
prices tackle shops charge. If a few of you want a metre or two to make up the quantity I will order and post it to you. For a metre or two I would think about 70p would cover P&P.
Another item which is a total rip-off in tackle shops (among the hundreds of others, lol) is shrink tubing. For those peeps not aware, you can buy shrink tube in Maplins in various sizes in 1 metre and 5 metre lengths. You can get 5 metres for not much more than you pay for a few inches in tackle shops.

The cheapest is Dover to Dunkirk, £48 for car at moment with Norfolk line.

I would suggest that you guys going to Millin de Ruchec sart thinking about booking yer ferry tickets. You've got to do it at sometime and the earlier you do it the cheaper it will be. I did mine 3 weeks ago. I'm going a week earlier as I will be spending a week on the river Saone before going on to Millin de Ruchec.
