At least they'll be some water in the rivers now! Let's just hope our winter spots are still accessible!

But I seem to recall several times when you struggled Eric! ![]()
Carpcatcher, I think the simple answer is nobody knows because nobody tries! Mick has said in the past that there is little point between October and March, but then again they won't come out if nobody tries!

Will have to arrange a trip. Eric (Horsedentist) also fishes there a fair bit so will also be able to give some guidance.

Hi mate and welcome to the forum.
Fished pondwood a few times this year and it has been a struggle all year. Was there for the last weekend night fishing session in October. Only a couple of kittens saw the bank in that session with a lot of us blanking. The water level has been pretty low so it might benefit from the rain we've been having!
Haven't fished it in the winter but Mick (the owner) pretty much says it's pointless in the winter. Will be back there around March time, so perhaps we could arrange a social!

A little rich for my pocket, but thanks for the offer!

Will go with majority, but drawing pegs does seem sensible! And a little side wager may make it a bit interesting!
But agree with Trev that it should be a good social.

Can have mine for 200 quid lol Try Climax tackle m8 they advertising them again on their site 54.99
-bps1
What a bargain.........just £200!!!
Lots of sites have them advertised but none have got them in stock! I originally ordered from Climax but they didn't have any.
Nash are saying at least 4 weeks but that's no guarantee! ![]()
Re: Weigh Tripod

OK. It appears that my phoning around wasn't as successful as I thought. The company I ordered from say that they sold the last one before receiving my order and Nash can't (or won't) give a date for when they will get some in!
So, to plan B.....................anyone got any suggestions?

what time is every one anticipating arriving at the lake?
-horsedentist
Hi Eric,
Trev and myself are getting the ferry from Dover at about midnight and the crossing to Dunkirk is about 2 hours. Then it's a nice leisurely drive down to the lake!!!
Should be there by midday with a bit of luck! ![]()
Re: A problem with Korda
November 14, 2009 by adrian2410
Hi Adrian, what size hook was that? i've been using widegapes for the last couple of seasons, size 4 for cats and 6 for carp, and never had any problems at all. about the only Korda thing that hasn't gone wrong lol.[image]
-nickcatfisher99
Hi Nick,
Was using size 2 and 4 out in Canada and lost a couple of nice fish. Would seriously consider using another hook. Look at the Nash Fang X for the carp very strong hooks in my opinion.

Hi Nick,
Just a warning, have had Korda wide gape hooks straighten on fish while fishing for c&%p!!!
