Well fellas, what a venue.
Three lakes with cats but its lake two to target with 23 cats to 70lb and carp over 30lb. Lake one has a good head of cats and carp to over 40lb, and lake three with is under unlargement has cats and carp to over 20lb. Its £20 quid for 24 hours and its money well spent. The cats are very rarely fished for and are in perfect condition. the pegs are private and jamie the baliff is an absolute top bloke. For a few quid you can have a full cooked breakfast brought to the bivvy and a meal in the evening. On site is a well stocked shop, and like I said jamie is a top bloke who always has time for a chat and to offer any advise he can give. We had a good long chat with him on the trip we have just come back from and he very eager to hook up with us, we may have our first affiliated venue on our hands here chaps. The rules are no leadcore, no fixed rigs, no braided mainline and barbless hooks, but apart from that its just all common sense really, and jamie just leaves you to get on with it. Gents and ladies toilets on site too, and you can get your car to almost every peg. The more interesting things we were talking about is one of the deals he is going to run next year. Fishing runs from 12 lunchtime to 12 lunchtime and pegs need booking in advance but the deal next year is for £110 you get fishing from sunday lunchtime to friday lunch time and all breakfasts and evening meals which is a saving of around thirty quid and he seems to be keen to have us as a cat group book the venue as all he gets are carp lads on there. Over a couple of beers last night with jamie and the lads we hit upon what we think is a corking idea for next year. Dates are still yet to be sorted but we hit upon the idea of the first Emmotlands/Moggymagic.Com Cat-Carp Challenge. Its a title in progress, lol, but the basic idea is this:
All three lakes, 17 pegs 34 anglers. 17 of Jamies Carp regulars, and 17 Moggymagic.Com members.
2 Men, three rod teams made up of a carper and a catter, one cat rod, one carp rod, and the third rod as you choose.
48 Hour session with a 4 hour period of rods down where there will be a bar-b-que and a free bar.
£50 entry with all proceeds going to the make a wish foundation.
The thinking behind it to breakdown some of the barriers between the carp and cat world, have a laugh in the process, and to learn a few things in the process, not to mention putting something in the charity pot, oh and the free bar. lol.
If anyone is interested please let me know, if we have a good response the challenge will go ahead and me and jamie can get things going. There will also be raffles and stuff on the day, and we will push to get some magazine coverage.
List yourselves below if you fancy it, me and Carl are already names on the list so that leaves 15 places left for catfish anglers. Please only put yourselves forward if you are dead set on showing up.

I will have to attempt a bash at the place before the end of the year as it soounds lovely and at half the price of Willowbank (and closer to me) it could be my new venue for next year

Was talking to jamie there yesterday while he was doing a charity carp match with some lads there and we got some more stuff sorted so here it is. We are looking at a date at the end of april, I will need a twenty pound deposit of everyone coming by the end of January. Its 15 places now, still with a free bar and bar-b-que and its for 48 hours starting 12 lunchtime on a friday so only one day of work needed. With the twenty pound deposit it will only be £30 to pay on the day. I work it out we have 6 so far so 9 more needed. I would love it if some of the southern based lads came up so we can show off the delights of yorkshire fishing. The list of the carp lads is already full and they have a reserve list. The carp lads I spoke to yesterday were well up for it, and dont forget its for the Make A Wish Foundation so all proceeds go to a good cause. Please dont let me down lads.

Come on fellas, I want to start putting a full list together in the next week or two as we will be popping up soon to finish some filming off and sort some stuff out with jamie. We need fifteen in total, am sure we can manage that between us. It really is a cracking place. Cheers for adding to the list Trev. What we agreed is me and jamie will take a small deposit in february and then you pay on the day when the pegs are drawn. He is going to have some little trophies made too. The list needs to be complete by the end of january though.
Would love to join you Karl, but not sure the missus would be too chuffed! We get married at the end of April!
