Apart from Celtic Lakes all my Catfishing has been in Cheshire. I fish Plex Flash mostly as I am a member of Wheelock Angling Society.

That's a cracking looking fish Paul - What tactics have you been most successful with this season? I've had to really change baits and rigs around

I typically fish three rods on 3 different methods at first till I can see whats happening on the day/night.
Early season was mostly pick ups on double 22mm pop ups over 1-2k of bait per rod per night. Livebait action was slow and Leeches blanked for months.

Livebaits were good to me early summer and July and Aug I was good with polyball rigs getting multiple catches when I got out (Single nights are 90% of my fishing)

Leeches of the surface have done really well recently in August but my recent PB was the first night fishing over 5k plus of bait with double pellet as hookbait wrapped in good old Belachan.

I normally fish a rig/bait on the bottom/surface and mid water and then adjust to suit after a few hours based on what I see and my gut feel.

I don't think I fish fancy rigs but I am a bit OCD on knots and hooks and I am very observant.
I also have no fear of asking folks questions and watching others who are successful.

Many apologies mate, not had time to put the pics on the gallery yet, its mental at the moment organising weddings, nurseries and then the general daily stuff. Cracking fish Paul. Did you have a bash on Crabmill in the end? I did a 3 day blank on there mid-August. Nice place to chill!

I stopped on Plex and took another 30 plus a few more as I thought it may be my last season there. Time will tell if that is true but the rumour mill plus a trip the USA made me focus on Plex and keep Crab in my back pocket for now.
