Well what can I say. A thoroughly enjoyable session with some great theory swapping and exchange of ideas and tactics.
A chance to field test Maurice's leeches as well and a resounding thumbs up! (although the fish snagged me). Thanks to Dave for showing me how he rigs them and donating the maggot clips.
Pity the cats didn't want to come out to play but I think we all had a good time any wainy.
I look forward to doing it again next season and if any one else wants to join in let us know.If we get enough we can have a night on the lake with just moggymagic members.
Eric forgot to mention he had a 29.13 cat out despite trying his hardest to be a carp angler

he used the smallest cubes of luncheon meat i've ever seen used for cats, although he caught his cat on the meat he became known as Eric the Carp for the weekend. Cheers for supplying all the brews and the jokes mate. We will deffo do it again next year.
I just felt a bit self concious because the fishing was so bad and was trying not to float my own boat 
but now you've mentioned it

Haha yes, i am going to add a rat trap to my list of essential tackle from now on!
Well done fellas. After speaking to mick when we were there I think the lake to just us lot for a night next year sounds like a great idea. Too many money commitments this year to sort it but I think it may be good to sort for early season as my first trip out before the big river assault.
