Anyone fancy a session/ social at Willowbank this friday night all day Saturday ?
Well I did'nt go to Willowbank at the weekend for 2 reasons ............... firstly my youngest daughter (10 month old) now has chicken pox she looks bloody awfulI and her back feels like a crocodile's - so there was no way the wife was letting me go fishing for a 48 hour session ...................... secondly I went fly-fishing for some catfish bait (managed to get 6 trout between 2lb and 4lb - so a reasonable session).
Here we go again .............. I am PLANNING a trip down this Thursday afternoon to Saturday afternoon if anyone fancies a fishing trip out .............. Johny101 is coming down from friday
Would love to give willowbank a try at some point Chris. This weekend i am down on Pondwood with Eric and Adrian though.
No bother Dave we could sort another date out before the end of the season ?
I am sorted for tomorrow, should get there around 4pm (traffic ?).
My main line up is going to be leeches on 1, livebait on 1 (probably for the pike) and trout fillet on 2 rods. Then as back up kidney, luncheon meat. I am taking 6 3lb rainbow trout to use as hook bait and loose feed over the 48 hour session.
Fingers crossed.
How does willowbank fish late season Chris? i want to get another couple of sessions in down at Yateley this season and time maybe beginning to run out for the cats this year. Time (and money) allowing i would love to do a session up there this season. Best of luck for this weekend mate.

LOL going for the pike m8
they shouldn't bother you
I nipped down for an overnighter on thursday - had a natter with Chris and Johny - I had three carp - all about 13lb - missed a run on a livebait, missed one on luncheon meat and one on kidney !!!
Had a 35lb 10oz cat and a 31lb 7oz cat - not a bad overnighter ..
carl
Not very good I'm afraid - missed one run on trout fillet. All the locals were saying the water was down over a foot, not that I am using that as an excuse.
Biggest suprise was I never got pestered off any pike which was a first for me on lake 1.
Good seeing you there Lophius and just give me a date Dave and I will do my best (mid week would be better for choice of swims)
Johnny did'nt fish in the end lake 1 was full so did'nt bother havinbg a bash
I will try and sort it Chris, i have no holiday left so i will have to be creative with my diary at work!
Does willowbank have a website Chris? have had a look and can't find one. What are the rules and how much does it cost?
there's no website Dave - Mick doesn't like too much publicity !!!!
Its £40 for 24 hours (ouch!!!) with no discount for extended stays -
However, for a one off or a couple of trips each season its worth the cash - i'd have to say that I would definitely recommend mid week rather than weekends and try and go when its not been raining - it can be a bit of a quagmire!!!
Cheers Carl, does he do a 12 hr ticket so i can fish 7pm to 7am for example?
Now sounds very interesting - i'm seeing a customer in Doncaster next week. Thats only about an hour away i would guess.
Wednesday, so i could fish from the evening thruogh to Thursday morning.
