OK guys 2 more dates for the diary. Anybody interested in joining us at Pondwood.
At the moment I have 2 trips in mind
1. Saturday 12th September - Sunday 13th September
2. Saturday 10th October - Sunday 11th October
Won't bore you all with too much detail as there is enough detail on other posts about the venue. The important bit is that it costs £30 for the weekend (Saturday dawn - Sunday dusk).
Let me know and I will book it up.

Off thread I know but have you tried the 2 pellet rig for barbel using O rings with a pellet above and below the hook?
It's working really well on the Colne for chub and barbel with 2 15mm halibuts. I haven't had one yet ( so no bait for pondwood yet PMSL) but both my mates have caught on it last few evenings.

HaHaha, my barbel fishing has been virtually non existant for the last couple of seasons Erik, all due to these bloody cats! Only did one session last year and didnt have a sniff.
I know how that feels! I am only targeting the Thames at the moment and haven't had a sniff this season. Trying to avoid the temptation of going to the Loddon where I have had a lot od success in previous seasons.
Have already filmed at pondwood mate, you lot should come to the trent and fish for the cats and barbel with us!
Bit of info please - i know at Pondwood it is 2 rods only, barbless hooks and no liveys (boo hiss!) but can you use braid main line?

Yes you can use braid but he likes you to use a nylon hook link with braid main line.

well thats the end of that plan, damn car broke down so no fishing tonight, got to get new spring hangers fitted.
What with work and all, this year is conspiring against my fishing sessions.
