Not fished the vale this year , my mate had the big girl out of there last night at 55+ . Still on the other lymm waters though.
55 nice result. plenty of time yet for you to get amongst them.
I caught her @ 49.8 , 3years ago ,on only my second night on there . There were only 3 in and the other 2 were smaller so I never really got fired up to go after them again . I don't like repeat captures too close together it starts feeling like a numbers game.
Last year lymmvale had a bad dose of gill maggot and a good few fish died , we weren't sure that the cats had survived . Went on for 48 hours for a change of venue, couldn't get the peg I wanted and watched the lad on it land a 55 & 38 .
There was a couple of new cats added which have spawned with the 3 females already present.
Plus a couple of previously unknown cats showed up last year so the future looks good on there .
Concentrating on another water this year , with another waiting if I can find the time.
