Being a northern monkey mate am not sure the venues down there. Am trying to pull some strings and get the full list of lescenced venues from the EA but its tough going, am hoping our man lophius can help us with that though.

You will only be about 1/2 hour away from St Johns, cats to 80lb but very, very busy and £26 per night.

Well your not a million miles away from the likes of Pitsford fishery and Naseby resevoir 30-35 miles i reckon, i wouldn't say they are better than Orchid but they are both worth a bash there, especially Naseby as there are some right Lumps in there but by no means easy to catch, there is also Napton resevoir where rumours abound of big cats in there, i myself had a 8lb kitten from there a cpl seasons ago so there is at least 1 in there, and dog lane fishery has cats in it but i have no knowledge of stocking levels

Thanks for all the info Guys.  Iliv in Rugby at the moment and am about 15 mins from Naseby and about 35 mins from pitsford.  Pitsford is ok Naseby is rather hit and miss at the best of times.  I will defo check out Linear St Johns.

Dog Lane? Wheres that then? lol

Dog Lane is just outside of Napton it is a cmplex of three lakes. a small pleasure lake a larger rectangular l  Lake for the match guys and another lake full of Carp.  Ive fished it a few times but not for Cats and imnot sure which lake the cats are in either.  I will try and get a number for ya.

i know where it is Trev, it was a private joke between me and Bri - did you see the Coventry telegraph the other week, there was a pic of a 42lb cat from there that was caught by a mate of ours. He was trying to keep it very low key but was witnessed catching it by the son of the lake owner.

I sort of guessed it might have been something to do with dogging but the best dogging venues are no where near Napton.

Which Lake was it then ?  Im guessing it must have been the pleasure lake, Ive fished the Carp lake lots of times and seen no evidence of any cats.

I assumed it was the carp lake - getting info out og craig will be like getting blood from a stone. has he mentioned anything to you Bri?

Officially yes, however could be worth wetting a line in either manor or Hardwick

funilly enough I was also looking at Manor as a second choice lake if St Johns is full.  I will probably start using BFO boilies and might pick up a carp if they can get their mouths round them.
