Well Johny ive had a few of them,.........badger/dynacraft bought new..went back 3 times in 3 months with faults.
Vipers good boat but short battery life 40 mins per batt  & expensive servicing
Annihilator boats excellent boat but looks like a model speedboat..1/2 mile raidio range & cheep as well, £40 a sevice
Current boat Waverunner not to badley priced , reliable looks quite smart.
Or as Eric says have a go at building one, kits on ebay / or pop down to your local model shop.

Just had `a look on ebay plans are around £1.99 or you can buy the hulls a couple of people selling them on there.
I bought all my radio gear s/h on ebay for peanuts when I built mine a few years back. At that time there were no plastic hulls available so mine is 1/4 ply and fibreglass lined.

I've just bought the Waverunner Atom for £399. Can't fault it, one of the advantages it has over other boats is it has a magnetic pin on the back, this means you can place the bait in the hopper but but the lead on the pin. this keeps everything nice and tangle free. It also has a good range and a fantastic fishfinder available with 400m range.

Have a look on ebay - there are loads normally - to be honest I struggle without one now and wouldn't try to fish livebaits without one - £400 will get you a lot of boat - I bought nige's microcat and its ace - I have to say as well that the echo sounder is brilliant (a great toy).

Karl has got my old angling technics bait boat and that was brilliant - reliable, solid, took loads of bait, great range - there's a pro cat on ebay at the mo with 2 days left at just about £100 - could be worth a watch

Annihilators are fine boats if you dont mind the looks.. have a look in the tackle section in the smartcast thread ...near the bottom & there is a pic of one i modded in it.
& also check out that procat Lophius was talking about as there reliable boats as well

Hi

I’ve got a BSA Lakestar, i THINK i can recommend them, as they are a very good design, and very quick, manoeuvrable, and can carry a huge amount of bait, if needed.

Heaviness is the drawback of that of course, and you need a large, good quality bag to protect it.

Battery life is outstanding, I’ve took it for a 4 day session with me using it maybe 8 or 10 times a day, and my cohort Cec using it a similar amount, with it still going strong at the end of the session.  I’ve never bothered to buy a spare battery for it, as i haven’t had it go flat on me during a session yet, so that speaks for itself.

The reason i only said i THINK i can recommend it is because mine doesn’t have anything like the range they claim, and the sonar is a bit temperamental.  Neither has been much of an issue though, so I’ve not bothered taking it back for them to have a look at it.

Price is a bit steep at £600 WITHOUT the sonar, but they do a smaller version called the “pocket rocket” at £390, i would say that’s a more sensible buy for most circumstances than the lakestar.

There is a website - Blue Sky Angling.   As you maybe realise, they have there office at the Emmottlands lakes.
