So Whats Working This Year, Nothing On My Hook Thats For Sure!!!!!!!

A chunk of kidney over some fishy groundbait worked one night and a live roach a few days later.
I am just glad a caught a couple planning a 2 nighter at WillowBank in the next few weeks so will keep you posted

So far had 1 on live roach, 1 on popped up worms and a kitten of about 3lb on maggot whilst bait snatching!

Well the kidney seems to be the in bait this year, its catching left right and centre. Anyone had many on the livebait this year? I think we are coming into the real livebait/surface fishing time now.

yea am off on lake 3 again lol a wanna go on the first peg on the right hand side. 
tryed liver peices popped up had one run on it.

i havent had a sniff since my last post on this thread! In my defense, i've only done a couple of overnighters since then - bloody work!!

Never been anywhere since Celtic lakes .................. busting to get out soon though

Johnny, have you tried dead rudd, roach or skimmers there mate? usually get one or two on those. Eel section is a bloody good bait there also. Just fish about a foot or so from the bank or from the island. Put the liveys in a bit more open water though. It will happen matey.

If all else fails you could always come down and try a night with me at pondwood Johny I will do my best to put you on one or two lol

cheers lads but the blank has ended took a nice 20 on liver from lake 3 4ft from the island on 1st peg left handside at twelve midday saturday. was suppossed to be leaving at 11 but the real slow packing up paid off lol. they would'nt touch kidney/liveys/fresh an sea deads or lunchen meat.

Well done mate, so chuffed for you. I know how much leg work you have put into your first cat, I know you have been chasing this for at least a year now. Bloody well done mate. But you were jumping up and down when you netted it, I know I did with my first one. Get me the pictures sent for the gallery page, it seems I have a decision to make over the cat of the month prize now, hmmm choices choices. lol.
