Well after months of wondering when the recession (redundancies) was going to hit Teesside, I got informed on friday that the work runs out in mid-June.
That obviously means I won't be continuing my fortnightly adventure down to Willowbank .................... gutted - after such a good start as well.
Sorry to here that mate. Keep my fingers crossed that something turns up for you soon.

Nothing I can do about it, there's just no work at present in the Instrumentation design field up here. Hopefully I will be able to pick some cad work up to keep the mortguage ticking over.

Forgot to tell you all .................................. I returned to work on the friday (after Katmandoo) - all went well until leaving time when the boss phoned me "for a chat" ....................... yeah you know whats coming next - its my last day on Thursday this week (as family is off to Center parks over the weekend) before official "gardening leave" starts.

Sorry to hear your bad news Chris, the same thing happened to me 2 years ago on the 20th of December 
. After that i went self employed as a handyman etc never looked back since then mate.
You get some good weeks but on the downside no work no pay.

Cheers lads ........... been looking about and there's a few jobs up in Aberdeen and darn saarf - crap to travel that far but at least its work. I am now just trying to butter the wife up so i can blag a 48 hour pass out for more catting hopefully at Bluebell's or I may go right down south to Orchid Lakes which I believe do a week ticket for £100
