Despite what i told u earlier, i may yet decide to come this w/e  !

Found out today that it’s a double bank holiday for staff, so i’ve got Tuesday off as well.

Therefore . . .  it seems too good an opportunity to miss, and having noted that the weather forecast has improved a lot . . .

What i could do, is get my chores done at home on sat, and then if it’s not too chock-a-block with anglers (which it may well be), get there on sat early evening, and stay till Tuesday.

I will ring u tomorrow young man.

Well what a poor result !

Cec fished from sat morning to Monday mid morning, and only had 3 smallish carp, no cats.

I fished from early Sat evening to Monday tea time and just had one carp.

We were on lake 3, it was quite full till Sunday then everyone left, there was just one cat caught from lake 3 (on sat night), 2 cats caught from lake 2 and none from lake 1.

Don’t know if it was the change in the weather that put them off or what, but no-one seemed to be catching much really.  Never known it to be so quiet on a bank holiday, there was no-one on lake 2 all Monday, and when i left there was only one angler left there, on lake 1.

Still, the weather was excellent, we both got rather burned, and it was better than being at work, but a cat or two would have been nice.

it doesn't sound to be producing as many cats as usual for this time of year - mind you that seems to be a fairly common issue on may waters this season ... hmmmmm

funny that the carp don't seem to be feeding there much either  - any idea what the water temp was?

Didn’t measure the water temp, but it felt pretty warm, warmer than i expected.

Don’t think the carp are ready to spawn just yet, but if the weather stays like this, it may not be long before they start.

I would think that Mick was not best pleased there were so few anglers there, bank holiday weekends are usually busy to say the least.    Ker-ching.
