Just one of those things ............. I am spoilt for choice when I go fly-fishing ............ there's just bott all in the way of cats

not knocking you monkey hanger great your onto the cats but sry the down fall (cos I am jealous) you catch a 31lb great your pb but then the smaller ones can't beat the 1st  pb as the times you catch them make them smaller than the 1st pb

Go on slate me but I am right.

BTW I used some kidney down South over this weekend the lake has never seen it and I had a run at 11:30 pm but pulled into thin air so I bought some more angel

Now Slain how's it going,

I have had my fair share of blanks throughout last year - I am just happy to catch a fish regardless of the size ................. but yeah the 1st time I broke my pb I was like a little kid, then I kept doing it on the same session.

You had many out this year so far ??

Kidneys work at Grafton Mere - local shop told a lad to try them for the cats (after my success using it) on his next visit - he got a 34lb and 19lb

none m8 thats why I'm jealous.

need to come over and have 2 nights on Willow Bank or Grafton heard a bit about this place but is it day only ??
was really cold overnight at the weekend woke with a carp at 4:30 Sunday morning and when I got up to pack up at 6:30 there was sheets of ice on my unhooking mat

Have to try and arrange a session again at Willow with us all

Yeah no worries there lets get one sorted ............... it would be better as a mid-week adventure.
Are you going on the Katmandoo event ?

Grafton is a day ticket only and you can't use freshwater deads of livvey's (its mainly a carp venue)

not doing the katmandoo event working on nights
next trip out maybe next Sunday at Preston overnighter then end of month trying for Home Farm then over to Willow Bank soon after that for 2 nights dates to follow

Name your days boys and we will organise it, midweek will be better as we will probably have the run of the place.

The winner of the cat of the month for May has just been anounced, and the winner is....................................Dave aka Slain.

After 3 years without a cat, and I have fished with him so trust me its not for the lack of trying, he finally put a twenty on the bank, in full view of the family too, bonus. Am sure you will all join me in saying well done to dave, bloody good work after am sure some of us would have thrown in the towel. Well done for sticking with it mate. To check out the photo go to the main site and look on the cat of the month page.

Once again well done mate!

thank you Karl
And I caught it on the special bait my daughter wanted me to save when we were all out.
No pressure but the delight on Nicola's face at 4am when I woke her (not go there about the missus's face I jumped too...lol) to say we got one was brilliant.
She also managed to tick it off in the ponds and lakes wildlife book.

Good result all round.

BTW to top it off I managed a 12lb on my new rig this morning at 7:30 a daytime catfish on a live  roach only 12lb but 2 nights 2 fish

BTW a tee shirt plz Karl
forgot to put on email medium
