Hi all !

After lurking here for a few weeks, and reading with great interest a lot of the content, I thought it was time I made a post.

Big thanks to everyone for posting the rig and bait info, it’s great to read all the hints and tips.

Just introducing myself really; i’ve only caught a grand total of 4 catfish so far, a single, two twenties, and a 36lb was my biggest, all from Willowbank lake 1, apart from one of the twenties which was from lake 2.

All caught by accident while carp fishing, because as yet, i’ve not caught one while actually targeting them, but to be fair, i haven’t put the time and effort in yet, but I definitely intend having a good try for them this year.

I’m quite fortunate in that I only live about 25 minutes drive from Willowbank, so consequently I join each year as a member.

Hope to see some of you on the bank this year.

Finally caught a cat at 4pm sunday afternoon, mid twenty on a piece of liver in the right hand corner at the far end of lake 3.   Only me left fishing by then, and i only managed a rather poor picture, not like me, cos usually i'm pretty good at self take pics. It was nice to not blank, but with the benefit of hindsight, i'd have drunk less lager, and tried a few other baits, i only used liver, maybe deadbaits / livebaits or halibut pellets maybe would have been worth a try.

Nice one Colin ............ never seen lake 3 that full - can't believe he allowed that many people on it to be honest
