Right people - after doing 4 journeys to and from the car to the lake i have decided to look into getting a barrow .......... it must be able to fold down flat to fit int eh boot of my car ........... so does anyone have any recommendations ? single or double wheel etc
Try and find out what mine is and let you know

Item number: 280328097365
Cheers ............. I will have a look now
Had a look at the barrow - I asked the owner a question about the rust (looks like rust to me on the photo's) on the sides of the barrow but he never got back to me ................ that would have been ideal without the rust.
I will get one sorted for my next trip out
Cheers anyway
Hi Mate,
A couple of years ago I treated myself to a Carp Porter (think it is the Mark 4S) and got the rear wheels for it as well. It's a nice piece of kit and folds down nice and flat to get it in the car (even with the rear wheels on).
The only problem I find is that it isn't great on unlevel ground (which ofcourse most fisheries are?!) but great if it is nice and flat. There is also a great art to loading them (which I am still trying to master) so that you get the balance right.
Fromexperience there is always a tendency to overload them and try and take everything in one go which usually ends up with a difficult to handle trolley or things falling off. That siad it might reduce your 4 trips to 2?!?!?!

now m8 check this link looks like a decent barrow at the bottom an only 50 quid www.dragoncarpdirect.com/acatalog/trollies.html
or look on tacklesaver.co.uk under the specimen section there's a nice twin wheel barrow an there cheap m8
Cheers for that Johnnny ........... I will hopefully get one of the wife for my birthday soon - time to start dropping hints
I have looked at various barrows over my lunchtime and my favs at present are the Koala XL loader (with bag) for £65 OR the mk.2 carp porter for £80 ............... with the latter one winning on reviews alone - it appears they are very well built.
They are well built, but as I said there is an art to loading them. Would also look to see the size of it, from memory it was always a struggle to get a bedchair on my old mark 2.
Forgot to tell you all - I went for the mk.2 Carp Porter on recommendations from 2 separate tackle shop owners (and 1 professional c%^& fisherman I know). Beauty piece of kit, managed the long Willowbank walk with just one load for a 24 hr session ............. well pleased.
Mel happened to drop in conversation the other day that we could do with one, not that she had been getting subliminal messages from me, lol.
