What time of the year does Willowbank usually start producing the cats ? I will be up for going earlier if they start feeding

Its an open invite and dont worry about being a cat virgin trev, its the perfect place to start and we will help you along. What I will say is that you can only fit about 6 on there max so let me know, Me and Dan will be there from about lunch on the thursday. There may be a day session or 2 before then but I will keep an eye on the weather and post them up closer to the time.

Sorry it doesnt look as if I will be able to make it unless I suddenly become Ill.  Stranger things have happened.  Would it still be ok for me to gatecrash on the day ?  or does the place require bookings well in advance ?

I think fresh air is the best cure for a sudden case of mystery illness. lol. Gatecrash as much as you want mate, you cant prebook on this venue so its just a case of turning up and paying your money. We will be on the bottom pond and with it being a thursday start I very much doubt there will be anyone on. We should have the place to ourselves. Even if its a bit busy pond one normally fishes well early on in the year so that is the back up plan. Anyone who fancies coming just let me know if you need any info on the place.

I should be free - although will probably only do one day rather than an overnighter. Sure i'll already have had a few blank sessions by then !!!!

Now then people. Popped down today, no sign of any cats yet but the carp were coming out in force and I did see a load of bait fish moving. Water still on the cold side but for anyone thinking of joining us the price is the same as last year, £20 for the day session, £40 for the overnight. Anyone thinking of coming down other than the people I have spoke to let me know.

hi, carl i was out yesterday piking at oaklands, and i had a carp rod out and one took the bait, she was a big girl and i lost her, and they are now on the feed, has for the pike i had a couple of runs but notthing came form them...
