what ones do you use? i'm going to get a pair of blue gardner microbugs when the tackle shops open up to go with my blue isotopes.

snap ! I use the same ones. nice and lightweight and just perfect for reducing resistance.

they don't look too resistance free with the stainles chains and clips. are they not too heavy for slack lining?

I use the fox stalker bobbins, they have string instead of chain, one thing I have found with the chain bobbins is the chain snaps. I would advise replacing the chain for strong mono. I did a couple of years ago, you can make them as long as you want and if its crap weather you can put a swan shot on there or something just to stop those false beeps. Myself I have got rid of the bobbins all together as I noticed a couple of times that when a cat runs off the bobbins can jam aginst the alarm and the cat ends up dropping the bait. Especially when freelining.
