same. my JRC Defenders have 9 eyes, and i bought them because they had the most eyes i'd seen on a rod before. i'm not a fan of cork handles, but 11 eyes sound like they should land cats lovely. have you thought of going for a 13ft or 12ft 6" rod as they generally give a better action.

true, but for distance casting or playing cats in very snaggy water you can't beat them. they make spodding a hell of a lot easier too.

Have used 13 foot before and I just dont get on with them. Gonna pop down the shop this week and get one in I think.

ive had all my cats on korums 2.75 test curve nice rods with fox stratus 10000 reals love em shimano super bait runner aswell use with a 3.0. esp rod works nice i recomend them anyday

Am in the market after christmas for four new cat rods. Have my eye on some daiwa pike rods, as to be honest I think they look like a better general cat rod than a standard carp rod. They have 4 more eyes than a standard carp rods and are designed for throwing heavy baits around. I would love some verdicts on these rods, I have posted the link below. The rod has 11 eyes as it a pike rod rather than a carp rod designed for distance.
