Moggymagic fish-in?

Think I am gonna get one of those nets from there. I wanted a 50" Greys Prodigy net as my 42" is the dogs for catfish but I am not spending £100 on a new full net, and they dont sell just the heads. Bugger. As for the livebait, never mind mate, to be honest not many venues allow it, Its my prefered method in summer but hey, you cant have everything. It makes us think things through a little more. Time to start working on those pop up deadbait rigs then. I have been working on that rive one I came up with and I reckon as long as the lake is not a flat calm it should be good on still water too. Will post some pictures up next time I am out, still got some minor adjustments to make to it first to make it idiot proof, lol.

Just a quick post people. I am twiddling with the main site again and have added a couple of things. One is google maps on the venue page so you can take a satelite view of any venue once you find it, and then plan a route there, the other is I have added some advertising. This site is starting to cost me to run and as you all know I want to keep it free and not charge membership like some other sites we all know of so if I could ask a favour and ask if you could all come to the forum from the main site and just take 5 mins to click on a few of the adverts. Still not sure if it is working properly yet so your help will be appreciated. If you keep doing this every time you come on then I may end up being able to subsidise the fish in depending on your co-operation. If you could do 10 ads before you visit the site that would be great. I have also changed the layout of some of the pages so if any of you have any problems viewing the content please let me know. You never know, if you all do your bit it may be that I can subsidise the fish in fully. Its up to you people and how much you want to put behind it.

Can I please have an update of people who would be interested in a website private get together. I understand that since I first raised the idea things have got tight and a lot of people's cicumstances have changed, mine included, so can I please have some feedback as to who would still be interested.

i would be interested Karl, dependant on the venue. Myself and Eric have mentioned a bit of a social on the pondwood thread, i think Adrian was up for it too.

I need to know by friday whoever is interested. If I dont get more than about 15 or twenty then the official get together will be off folks and we will organise little local socials. I need to know as its getting close to the time and I need to let whichever venue know what is happening. If I could have response either way from the people who have had there name down that would be much appreciated. Please respond people.

Well am afraid to say that half a dozen of us is not going to be enough to book out any venue. No worries, its understandable at this present time that people dont want to commit to anything. Right then people lets go down a different route, why not we just organise a few informal gatherings at various venues round and about. If anyone has any venue and date suggestions then just pop them on here. We are still going over to lakemore to film so as soon as we finalise a date then I will let you know if anyone fancies joining us. We were also planning another night at pondwood near the end of the season when the venue quietens off a touch. Then again there is also willowbank which I know a lot of us visit. So if anyone fancies a social at a venue near them then just post up on here and am sure we will get people together. We will try again next year when times are a bit easier hopefully. I cant say I am not dissappointed but hey thats how it goes.

I have 2 dates very soon 20th and 21st July not sure where I am going yet. Hoped to do Willowbank but I have an expensive month coming up lil sis wedding and a trip to Oz to see the wizard. If anyone has those dates free let me know then I can write it on the calender so the missus knows I am fishing :)
