If you can catch or learn to catch from a "normal" water then some of the bigger named higher stocked waters are no problem.
Im up for it if its early September. I will have fished Celtic in Jun on the Katmandoo thingy and blanked so will therefore be keen to have another crack at it lol.
i agree with u sas, yes you will lern how to handle a cat run on a runs water but you wont realy lern the skill of catching cats.
blanking is what it's all about. fishing for about 10 fish a season if your lucky is how you learn to improve your angling skills.
is there a runs water for catfish
Someone forgot to tell me
ten in a season? blimey my best 36 hours last year was 14 cats!
Just a quick update fellas, spoke to the owner of a venue yesterday and we have some movement on the fish in at last. Two things, the maximum it will cost will be 40 quid for the venue for 48 hours, 2 dates possible though, beginning of april or beginning of september. We need at least 25 people though so check your diaries and post hear and let me know. Its a top class water that is easy to reach for us all, and if we can get 25 or 27 of us sorted then we will have the lakes totally booked out and the venue to ourselves so check you diary and please post up which dates you are available for so I have a good idea of who can make when. Cheers.
Can you give me a hint at the venue ? If its darn sarf I doubt I will be able to attend as I am also going to the Celtic Lakes competition. Other than that I will (permission pending) be going on either date.
Would'nt April be a better time if the cats are waking up from their winter slumber ?
yes, april would probably be better as far as the fishing goes, but i personally wouldn't be able to turn up at thate sort of time, what with GCSE's an all.
1 vote for september, Karl (or Eric?? who IS actually in charge at the moment?)lol.
O dear your lucks really out this week Nick thats two of us keeping an eye on you now Karl is back on pmsl.
September would be better for me Karl.

O dear i hope you werent in public at the embarrising PMSL moment, hehe.
Ok I have opened discussions with mark at lakemore fisheries, a link to the venue site can be found on the links page of the main site. It will be 48 hours midweek, probably tuesday to thursday. Hope that helps. If every thing goes as I hope then april will be much cheaper than september but I need to know from you all within two weeks how many can make april or september, and we need at least twenty 5 pegs taken up. And dont worry I will still be popping on occasionally but only once a day.
Could'nt this be organised along-side the 'free' Lakemore event in April - if its still on ?
any month for me dates prefered so I can sort something out at home
id love to come but dont know if id be able to get the week off for this and katmandu and it also depends on transport as i dont drive yet
We may be able to get the free offer on the first of april but there is no guarantee on that and I need at least 25 people. The september date is mare flexible. If the response for the fish in is small then I will go for a smaller venue so I need to know numbers of people interested and when for. Dont forget if you want to invite friends who fancy having a go for the cats then this is the perfect opportunity to get them involved, the more the merrier. I want to start getting this organised as its taking my mind of all the shit that seems to be happening at the moment, so if you have friends who fancy giving it a go then no problem. They dont have to be members but as your guests they will be your responsibility if you know what I mean. Remember you are representing me and the site so people who can behave please. As for transport, wherever we end up there will be people coming from all directions so am sure we can sort everyone out.

Thats if the LAZY ARSE TW@%% on the CCG forum can even be bothered to pick up the phone to book it.
I will tell you lot something if we loose the free offer at Lakemore due to CCG members not bothering,i for one will not be re-newing my membership with the group.
This is nowt to do with anyone on here because i know none of you or very few are members of the CCG.
