Now then folks, hope we have all been getting slimed up these last couple of weeks? If not then join the club. I was sat having a fag the other night and hit upon a bit of an idea and i want to put it to our blossoming group to canvass opinion.
We all have a good laugh on here and its already starting to feel like a bit of a family, especially to me as I set this up and its going better than i ever hoped, but my concern is that we are all members of the same group but wouldnt know each other on the street, so here is the idea:
I want to propose a moggymagic fish-in on a date to be decided next year on a venue to be decided by democratic process. My thinking behind this is it will be a chance for us all to meet up, exchange hints and tips face to face and just have a bloody good time doing something we all adore. Who knows it could become a yearly thing? I understand we are all dotted all over the country and some may be unable to make something like this but as i said its just an idea I wanted to put forward. If you all feel positive about this then i can start putting things into action. Please let me know your thoughts on the idea and we can take things from there.

I want to stress to everyone that this will in no way be a competition and will only cost you the price of your ticket at the venue. It will be like any other session you will go on just that we will all be together on one venue. I want it to be more of a social thing with a huge exchange of ideas between us all.

what sort of session are you thinking of fishing? day, 24 hrs, 48hrs,? If you did think of coming down here I know the owner Mick quite well if everyone could make a week day session we might be able to get a deal for a private night. Can't promise obviously but I could ask. Tight lines just did a night of filming there with Simon Clarke of catfish pro. Don't let on but they bagged some cats in his moggy slips and they were gone in the morning lol some one needs to learn how to tie a knot lol.

I will go with the majority, no more than 24 hours tops though. What do you think? Would you be up for it? Will deicede the details like venue and length if i can get enough up for it. Might even go full on and get t-shirts made up for group photos and things like that but thats all a long way off. Got to get enough interested first.

Im up for going, havnt been to active here yet bt ive been on holl. this sounds lik a good idea to me and i can go to most places exept far up north as the petrol would cost to much.

Cheers laurence, thats 5 of us if horsedentist is up for it too. I know evo311 will be there unless he is on a tour of duty. Like i said it wont be this untill at least july next year as we are expecting our first at the end of march which gives us plenty of time to get organised. But dont worry the venue will be chosen to allow the maximum number of people to come without breaking the bank, and i am sure those that attend can organise a bit of car sharing if it is possible.
you can count me in. It is possible that by next year there will be more members and more people who would be interested of course.
I asked Mick about Pondwood and it is not possible for him to do a private session weekdays, but he said if there was enough people we could have one of the weekend slots. Thats pretty good of hiom as they are always well booked up. Failing that we could just have a block booking so Pondwood is a possibility its £30 saturday morning round to sunday night.
If we can get a whole pond to ourselves then any day is good. Hopefully there will be more members but am sure we can work something out. i cant see everybody wanting to attend or beeing able too. am aiming for july or august as we will be in a routine with the baby hopefully by then and i can free the time up needed to organise it.pondwood would be up there with the front runners at the mo, depends how many we can fit on?

Sale water park (Manchester) will be big enough £10 for a night session on the motorway bank ypu may join for £48 a year to do other bank also.

Right fellas quick update on this one. Just sent an enquiry in to celtic lakes concerning the MM fish in. Enquired about the end of august/ early september. If this a problem for a lot of you then let me know. I need to know what dates we are all available. Keep me informed and I will keep you all posted on any progress.
